Douglas Fir is a highly versatile and resilient softwood timber. It’s natural durability and attractive appearance makes it a great choice for a variety of applications. The reddish-brown tones gradually darken over time.

Douglas Fir characteristics and uses

It can be used for a wide range of both internal and external projects. Despite being tough, it is easy to work with and acts as a cheaper alternative to Green Oak. It is a great choice if you are looking for timber that can be used for doors and facias as well as furniture, skirting and windowsills.
