Arris rails are a key component of any close board or feather board fencing installation. They are fixed horizontally, between fence posts. Individual fence boards are then nailed to the arris rail, to create a strong and secure fencing installation.
All of our arris rails have been pressure treated, which helps to enhance their longevity and long-term durability.
Each arris rail is cut into a triangle shape, creating a 45° angle, triangular shape. This helps to ensure that rainwater runs off of the fence, provides an attractive and traditional aesthetic finish, whilst offering maximum support and surface area for board attachment.
Our wooden arris rails can be attached to both concrete and timber fence posts. We offer two end finishes, plain triangular and scarfed end arris rails.
