French Oak Sleepers are a fantastic way of adding a touch of character to any outdoor space. With golden tones that turn to a silver-grey within 4 – 12 months (depending on direct sunlight and weather conditions), this is an attractive natural timber sleeper that is a popular choice for a range of outdoor projects.

From creating beautiful raised flower beds and planters to outdoor furniture and pathway borders, French Oak Sleepers are a hugely versatile product suitable for both domestic and commercial applications.

Our French Oak Sleepers are particularly durable, however, as a grade A/B timber you should expect some natural imperfections, as well as splits, sap pockets and waney edges on a few sides. This is natural within the product and is not classed as a defect. If you were after a superior grade of a sleeper for a specific project, please contact a member of staff.

Grade A – May have splits either end, with the possibility of wane on one edge.
Grade B – Possibility of large splits and two waned edges.
Grade C – Large splits, 2/3 waned edges, can be warped and some rot.
